Introduction to Art and Culture in Ecuador

Explore Ecuador and its cultures in three weeks!

This three-week program is for students prepared to complete Spanish coursework at the 3000 level; students earn three credits toward the Spanish major or minor or the IS major. The first week we will have on line classes about Ecuador’s art and culture. The last two weeks, we will travel to Ecuador where students will live with local families and visit museums in Quito, travel to the Middle of the World, a tour to Otavalo, the biggest market street in South America, a trip to the Cloud Forest and learn about Ecuadorian cooking. Guided tours are in the mornings and part of the afternoons. The rest of the day you will have free time to explore the city on your own.
